The 2024 season of the Compagnie d’Arc Yzeure closed on Friday October 4 with the club’s general meeting.
President Anne-Lise Cauchy returned to this season, once again full of events.
The Yzeurian club organized two major competitions this year with the first round of the French National Division 2 championship and the regional youth, adult and para-archery championship at international distances. The club expressed its thanks to Jérôme Labonne, sports assistant present at the AGM, for providing the facilities and the logistical support of the City services.
Throughout the season, the Yzeurian archers shone with their results. Several regional medals were won in individual and mixed doubles teams (Aurore Pautrat indoors, outdoors and in mixed doubles with Bastien Brandon and the duo Camille T’Joen and Enzo Sanciaume in mixed doubles U18-U21).
In para-archery, Charline Maronnat reaped a harvest of medals and ended the season with a title of regional champion in outdoor archery national distance, a title of vice-champion of France in archery indoor arch at 18 meters and a title of champion of France in outdoor archery national distance!
For team shooting, the young U13-U15, U18-U21 and men had their season in the Regional Excellence division and finished 8th respectively. e 11 e et 4 e . A mixed team was entered in the 50 meter Challenge and finished 10 e of his group. And finally the women’s team is fourth in its group of the French D2 championship and reaches the final during which it finishes 7 e .
After the various sporting and financial reports, the licensees elected the new club management committee. The nine outgoing members wanted to re-engage and they were joined by three newcomers. All were elected unanimously and the new steering committee chose to renew its confidence in outgoing president Anne-Lise Cauchy.
