Two days before free training opens for the archers participating in the Tlaxcala 2024 Archery World Cup Final, the Tlahuicole stadium has been transformed.

On the grass, the 16 lecterns of the target area are already there. They will be placed 8 at a distance of 50 meters and 8 at 70 meters for compound and recurve bow shooters respectively.

In the waiting area, the tents are already ready, waiting for the first archers who will come to learn about the conditions of the venue, said the competition secretary at the World Archery Mexico Arturo Yáñez Blanco.

“That’s right, precisely in sports it is important to have a practice field to be able to know the climate, the wind and the conditions that Tlaxcala offers, in all the cities the conditions are very different, they come days before to acclimatize to have better control of the place since it is a sport that the weather interferes with”

Regarding the assembly of the infrastructure that will house the main stadium on the esplanade of the government palace, the work continues, the work will end on October 15.

The progress presented 8 days before the competition is 70%. The stands that will receive 2,300 attendees during the four finals are already fully installed.

In the competition area, the shooting areas and the structures where the targets will be located are already delimited. Regarding the space where the warm-ups will take place in front of telegraphs, the Tlaxcala art museum and the courthouse, it is just beginning to take shape with the placement of the structure that will delimit the area.
