Mapfre and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have reached a agreement by which the insurer becomes a sponsored partnerr of the Copa del Rey and the final of the Copa de la Reina soccer cup.
As detailed by the insurer this Monday, as part of this agreement, the men’s competition will adopt the name of ‘Copa del Rey Mapfre‘.
This collaboration will already be visible in the matches that will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in which the name and image of Mapfre will be present.
The agreement goes beyond a simple sponsorship, as Mapfre and the federation commit to promoting the Copa del Rey Mapfre and encouraging the participation of fans and volunteers, in addition to implementing social responsibility initiatives. Likewise, the insurer extends its support to the Copa de la Reina, with the aim of contributing to its dissemination and improvement.
«With this agreement, Mapfre reaffirms its commitment to sport and society, seeking to reach all corners of the country and contribute to the dreams of millions of Spaniards through football, the ‘king’ sport in Spain, which is an integral part of the daily lives of many Spaniards for almost 50 weeks a year,” said Mapfre’s Marketing and Communication Director, Fernando Garrido.
For his part, the Commercial and Business Development Director of the RFEF, Ramón Plaza, described the collaboration as “excellent news.”
