The National Police have arrested four people as allegedly responsible for a crime of inciting hatred, for being the main people responsible for the hate campaign on social networks against the Real Madrid player Vinicius.
As explained by the Police, the detainees incited fans who attended the Atlético de Madrid stadium to utter humiliating and discriminatory insults with racist connotations against the Brazilian forward on the eve of the Madrid derby last September at the Metropolitan stadium.
The investigation began on October 1 after receiving three complaints from LaLiga, pointing out this hate campaign on the networks. In addition, they asked that they wear a mask to make their possible identification by the Police more difficult. The campaign became a trend on social network X, with more than 7,000 messages.
After the investigations carried out, the identification of the authors of the publications was achieved and on October 14 and 15, four men were arrested as allegedly responsible for a crime of incitement to hate, and they were brought to justice. The investigation remains open, so new arrests are not ruled out.
