The II Family Sports Conference reaches nine provinces of Castilla y León

The initiative of the Government of Castilla y León that promotes family sports is repeated after the success of participation in 2023. Around 6,400 attendees participated last year and it is expected to have similar numbers. 163,000 euros will be invested in these II Family Sports Days to continue promoting “family balance during leisure time.”

«We want to put sport at the service of families, in an activity that strengthens ties, improves understanding and knowledge between the different members of family units, without exceptions due to age or physical condition, with activities for all tastes, at the same time and in the same space. And all this, in a sports environment, of fun, motivation and with all the values ​​of physical activity, such as camaraderie, respect for others, rules and teamwork.

The activities will take place over the course of a day, in different infrastructures in the capitals of Castilla y León. Thus, more traditional sports competitions such as chess, basketball, football, badminton, table tennis or archery will be held, as well as others that include inclusive sports, such as wheelchair basketball. To which we must add other recreational activities that involve inflatables, gymkhanas, e-sports or sports dances.

Throughout the months of October and November these days will take place in different parts of Castilla y León. On Saturday, October 19, in Burgos, Soria and Valladolid; on Saturday the 26th, in León and Salamanca and on Sunday the 27th, in Ávila and Zamora. During the month it will be Segovia’s turn, on the 2nd, and Palencia will close these activities on the 10th.

No prior registration will be necessary and participation will be free in all cases.
