Basketball players of Anykščiai “KKSC-Elmis” (3-1) won on Thursday, beating Vilnius KM (69-50) 25:14 (15:11, 12:13, 17:12, 3:1) home .
The hosts, who showed excellent defense, ran away from their opponents already in the first half, reaching double figures (25:14).
Vilnius failed to score more than 14 points in any quarter.
It was the third victory for the Anykščiai team and the first defeat for the Vilnius team. Both teams are top of group A of Serie B.
Tautvydas Jodelis played the most productive game among the winners with 15 points, Donatas Radžiūnas scored 14, Žygimantas Žiukas added 13 points.
For Vilnius, Aironas Urbanovič scored 11 points, Gustavas Vingrys and Jonas Skramtai 6 each.
The hosts simply dominated in Širvintos on Friday. The Širvintos-UHB group (2-2) crushed Marijampolė Sports Center (121-48) 27:19 (30:12, 30:11, 34:6, 1:2).
