Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Badminton 60 and over club held its general meeting at the Éric-Tabarly room. Ten new members joined the table tennis players, bringing the number of players to 54.

Jacqueline Eugène, the host, recalled that the badminton leisure section for 60 and over, which has just celebrated its tenth year, was created in 2014 to provide people in this age group with the opportunity to practice this sport at their rhythm: All participants appreciate the social connection and the numerous activities offered by the club. In addition to regular weekly training, many activities are organized in the form of friendly challenges, outdoor outings, participation in other sports (bowling, pétanque, walking, cycling); friendly moments, intergenerational meetings with families (grandparents and grandchildren), students from Jules-Verne college, welcoming young people from friendly clubs. Solidarity, respect and spirit of camaraderie are the values that everyone shares at the club. Faced with such dynamics, we hope to be in good shape for as long as possible and to keep these wonderful projects going. To project yourself into the future is to live fully », concluded Jacqueline Eugène before inviting participants to enjoy pancakes and coffee offered by the club.
