MadridThe day after the Supreme Court impeached the state attorney general for the case of Isabel Díaz Ayuso‘s partner, Álvaro García Ortiz gives explanations to the tax leadership about his decision not to resign, while the institution continues to get wet in thorny issues. On the one hand, the Anticorruption Prosecutor opposes the complaint that the PP filed against the PSOE for alleged irregular financing in the National Court and, in parallel, in the Constitutional Court the public ministry rejects the question of unconstitutionality of the Supreme Court against the amnesty. In the strictly political arena, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has charged hard against García Ortiz. “You are mobsters and Stalinists working against the adversary,” he shouted from the plenary session of the Madrid Assembly.

The tension goes growing up in the Spanish capital for the dispute that PSOE and PP are leading in the courts. The attempt by the management of the conservative formation to stretch to the maximum the suspicions of corruption surrounding Pedro Sánchez may end up being a shot in the foot: the complaint that Génova presented against his political rival based on a digital media news The Objective which was based on the anonymous testimony of an alleged businessman who claimed to have delivered bags with 90,000 euros to Ferraz’s head office. At the moment, the Prosecutor’s Office proposes its inadmissibility ad liminethat is to say, flat. The ARA already advanced that Anticorruption gave little chance of success to this complaint, especially because there was no evidence leading to indications of a crime. However, it will have to be the judge Santiago Pedraz who decides.
A hypothetical dismissal of the complaint would be a setback for the PP, although this Wednesday some leader already assumed this scenario. They justified themselves by saying that they had no other choice but to present it and that it had already been useful. On the other hand, this Thursday the spokesman for Congress, Miguel Tellado, assured in an interview with esRadio that he sees “viability” and maintains that his party has “information” about alleged illegal financing of the PSOE. Beyond the issues linked to corruption, the confrontation has its branch in the amnesty: García Ortiz signs the letter he has presented against the challenge that the Supreme Court presented to the TC regarding the amnesty to an activist. The public ministry considers that it should be rejected for formal reasons, although in the alternative it requests rejection by analyzing its content.
