The qualifiers in Skate, BMX and Archery came from Esquel

On Tuesday, the provincial round of the Evita 2024 Games was held in Esquel to classify the provincial representatives in the disciplines of skateboarding, BMX Freestyle and Archery.

The sports day was organized by the provincial government through Chubut Deportes and had the support of the municipality of Esquel through the work of the Undersecretary of Sports. In addition to the collaboration and assistance of the Esquel Skate Association and the Andino Patagónico Archery Club.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Diego Galmes, Undersecretary of Sports of the city, highlighted the call and thanked the participation of young people from cities such as Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Madryn, Puerto Pirámides, Rawson, Lago Puelo, Trevelin and the locals. “I thank Milton Reyes from Chubut Deportes, and also Mayor Matías Taccetta who are always supporting sport.” While the president of the Extreme Games Federation – who visited the city for the first time – Ary Angulo highlighted the city’s sports facilities and the natural environment. “They have a national and international level skate park and we can return to do an event,” he stressed.

In sports, after the extensive qualifying day in the bowl as well as in the municipal gym, they were classified for the national championship in Mar del Plata (November 4 to 9): Lucas Rizzo in BMX, Amalia Calfú Milan Calero and Mateo Aguilar in Skate and in Archery: Olivia Campos and Santiago Ibañez.
