MURCIA. The seventh edition of the Costa Cálida Sport Business Congress will bring together figures from the world of sports such as Álvaro Benito, Marcos Senna, Salva Ballesta, Miguel Ángel Ferrer “Mista”, Isabel Fernández, Aitor Francesena on Thursday, November 7 at the Circo Theater in Murcia. This was announced by the General Director of Sports, Francisco Sánchez, at the presentation ceremony of the event, held at the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, and which was also attended by the director of the congress, Antonio Ruiz.
Sánchez highlighted “the importance of this event, which once again places the Region as a meeting point for sport to continue promoting innovative projects that strengthen collaboration between sporting events, tourism, entertainment or startups, creating new synergies.” and promoting joint initiatives between representatives of different business sectors”.

“Sport is one of the great attractions of the Region and its power of attraction allows thousands of people to come to enjoy our land and soak up our culture, gastronomy and customs, generating opportunities and also jobs,” Sánchez also said. .

In this sense, the general director recalled that “the regional government’s commitment to promoting sports has materialized in the Strategic Tourism Plan of the Region of Murcia 2022-2032, which considers the promotion of sports tourism as one of its objectives. priorities, as well as in the Community Sports Tourism Promotion Plan, which this year has scheduled more than 60 events, among which some as important and recent as the Spanish men’s and women’s basketball Super Cups stand out.

The Costa Cálida Sport Business has established itself as “the main sports and business event in the Region of Murcia”, he also commented, noting that this event will bring together prominent figures from football and disciplines such as judo, taekwondo or surfing. adapted, which will provide “valuable testimonies, experiences and knowledge of interest for the future of the sector and the sports industry.”
In addition, the congress will feature leading companies in their field and will include presentations, round tables, networking activities and the delivery of the Universae Sport Business World Murcia Sports Spirit Awards.

Among the participants are athletes such as former professional soccer players Álvaro Benito, in turn leader of the musical group Pignoise, Marcos Senna, Salva Ballesta and Miguel Ángel Ferrer “Mista” from Caravaca; the Olympic judo champion Isabel Fernández, the young promise of taekwondo Adriana Cerezo, Olympic silver, who will attend with her coach, Jesús Ramal; or the world champion of adaptive surfing Aitor Francesena “Gallo”.
