A first in 30 years for Victor Wembanyama?
It’s not a record, but it’s now been 30 years since anyone achieved the feat of achieving a quadruple double in the NBA. The latest one? A certain David Robinson. In February 1994, the San Antonio Spurs pivot compiled 34 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks. His successor in the Texan racket, Victor Wembanyama, came very close to achieving this feat in his rookie season with a staggering statistics line (23 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, 9 blocks against the Nuggets in April 2024). This year, “Wemby” could be the first to repeat this feat that only Nate Thurmond, Alvin Robertson, Hakeem Olajuwon, and David Robinson have achieved.
