He chased the car in which his ex was with her new partner for several kilometres, rear-ending it and also trying to cut off the road to block it. But to instill even more fear in the couple, alongside their car, he also rolled down the window and shown a baseball bat which he kept in his car (then the police, following a search inside the car, also found another one), threatening both his ex and his new partner. But, following the intervention of the military personnel, the 44-year-old was blocked e arrested.
But let’s go in order. The episode occurred in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where there were moments of strong fear and tension for a 28-year-old local woman of Ukrainian origins and her new partner. The woman, in fact, was already near her place of work, a place in the city of the Forum, when she realized that, waiting for her outside the business, sitting inside his car was his ex-partner. So the woman, trying to move with great attention and discretion, avoiding being noticed by the 44ennemanaged to escape his sight, parking her car and regularly starting her work shift inside the premises. In the meantime, however, despite the moment of strong agitation, he informed his new partner of the decidedly unwelcome presence of his ex outside the workplace.
Her partner then immediately joined her outside the club and the two left in his car. A circumstance which, this time, did not escape her ex, who immediately started his car and immediately set out on the couple’s trail, engaging in a crazy chase, which lasted for several kilometres. The hunt for the couple, in fact, began in the city of San Marino and continued up to the Via Appia, in the territory of Casagiove, where the man was blocked by the carabinieri of the Casagiove station and the Operational Intervention Company (CIO) of the 10th Campania Regiment, who in the meantime intervened following the request for help made from the victim to emergency number 112.
During the crazy chase, the 44-year-old, also originally from Santa Maria Capua Vetere, repeatedly drove alongside the car occupied by the couple, rear-ending them and even trying to cut across the road on more than one occasion to block them. But not only that, because the man’s fury was not limited only to the constant tailgating of the car. In fact, by walking alongside the car and lowering the window, the man also showed a baseball bat, to instill fear in the couple, threatening both his ex and her new partner. Once blocked, the 44-year-old was subjected to a personal search by the police and was also found in possession of another baseball bat, in addition to the one used a few minutes earlier to threaten the couple, both of which were found at the interior of his car. Once the various investigations had been carried out, the man was arrested by the police and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
