Trae Young’s Revenge Season

With the departure of Dejounte Murray and the arrival of several players functional to the project, the 2024/2025 NBA season could represent the ‘Revenge Season’ for the Atlanta Hawks star, Trae Young.

Aside from the fact that the Hawks traded Luka Doncicchosen with the third pick of the 2018 draft, the decision to focus on the University of Oklahoma product turned out to be one of the best choices in the history of the Georgian franchise.

Since his first seasons, Ice Trae has shown extraordinary qualities, recording top-level averages: 19.1 points, 9.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds in his rookie year, and even 29.6 points, 9.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in his second year. In his third year, he continued to impress, leading Atlanta to the Conference Finals while averaging 28.8 points and 9.5 assists per game in playoff NBA.

In the 2024-25 NBA season, the three-time All-Star and one-time All-NBA Third Team standout could benefit greatly from the departure of Murray, a guard who, like him, needs the ball to reach his full potential. The inclusion of players like Dyson Daniels (guard with great defensive qualities) and the first pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, Zaccharie Risacher (multi-purpose winger), could allow Trae Young to return to the superstar levels that made him famous, thus winning over millions of fans.
