Serie A ended up finding a buyer. Without a broadcaster since the start of the season, the Italian championship will now be broadcast by the L’Équipe group. This has acquired the rights to two matches per day of Calcio, currently dominated by Naples, announces the group in an article published on the media website.
The first match will be visible from this Tuesday evening on the L’Équipe channel (8:45 p.m.), with the clash in Lombardy between the Neapolitans and AC Milan of Mike Maignan and Théo Hernandez. It will also be available on the L’Equipe Live foot platform.
Three other matches will be offered to viewers for this first week of the new broadcaster: AS Roma-Torino on Thursday, Monza-AC Milan on Saturday and Inter Milan-Venice on Sunday. The L’Équipe group will benefit from first choice on odd days, second on even days and number three choice. It will also be able to broadcast the highlights of all Serie A matches.
Italian Cup rights extended
The Italian championship has already played nine days this season, but had not found an agreement with a French channel. BeIN Sports previously held the rights to the transalpine elite in France. The Team also announced that it had renewed the rights to the Cup and the Italian Super Cup, which it already held.
In France, the English Premier League is broadcast on Canal Plus, the Spanish La Liga and the German Bundesliga on BeIN Sports. Ligue 1, for its part, had a difficult summer, with a long series ending in July with the acquisition by the DAZN platform of the majority of matches. BeIN broadcasts one match per day.
