LUFTENBERG. The Luftenberger judo young talent won twelve medals at the Kyu tournament in Burgkirchen.
The Luftenberg judo section successfully took part in the Upper Austrian Autumn Kyu tournament in Burgkirchen with 14 judo kids and achieved impressive results. 178 judoka from 15 Upper Austrian clubs took part in this tournament. Overall, the young athletes returned from the Innviertel with two first places by Katharina Hofbauer (U12, +52kg) and Leopold Kommunalhardt (U16, -55kg), two second places and eight third places.
“The results are proof of the good level and constant development of our young judoka. For some of our judo kids it was their first tournament start. Everyone gave their best and gained a lot of competition experience. Thanks to all the coaches and parents who accompanied their children to the tournament. With these achievements behind us, we look forward to the coming tournaments with confidence,” says Herbert Dansachmüller, Judo Askö Luftenberg.
