Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced on the 23rd that it will hold the ‘51st Uljin County Citizens One Mind Sports Festival’ on the 26th at Uljin Sports Complex.

In this competition, under the slogan ‘Unifying Hope Uljin, Uniting Happiness Uljin’, approximately 3,000 people, including players and spectators from 10 towns and villages, are expected to participate.

It begins with the players’ entrance ceremony and ends with athletic competitions, performances by invited singers, and an overall awards ceremony. Five sports, including table tennis and tennis, will be held as pre-games, and six sports, including wrestling and tug-of-war, will be played on the day.

As each town/myeon’s unique entrance ceremony and group rope jumping get the most response from the audience, much interest and support is expected this year as well. In particular, the group rope jumping will highlight the cooperation and teamwork of each team.

After the entrance ceremony, a special event race, the Workplace Joint Running, is prepared. Five teams, Uljin County Office, Uljin County Council, Uljin Office of Education, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, and Uljin Agricultural Cooperative Federation, will participate in the joint run, and the heads of each organization will run together to add vitality to the event.

Uljin County Mayor Son Byeong-bok said, “This competition is more than just a sports game, it is a special occasion where residents can communicate and unite as one,” adding, “I sincerely hope that it will be a day where everyone can laugh and enjoy together.”
