He UNAN Basketball Team of León is a professional basketball club from Nicaragua, representing the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-León). Founded in the year 2020the team has competed in the Superior Basketball League since its creation, as well as in the Carlos Ulloa Inmemoria National Tournament.
UNAN de León, with a rich tradition in sports development, established its basketball team to foster local talent and offer a competitive platform for young athletes. Since its founding, the team has worked to become a benchmark in Nicaraguan basketball, attracting talented players and creating an environment conducive to the development of the sport in the region.[[1]
Since its inception, the team has actively participated in the Superior Basketball Leagueseeking to stand out in the competitive national basketball environment.[[2]In addition, the team has also taken part in the Carlos Ulloa Inmemoria National Tournamentwhere he has had the opportunity to face other prominent clubs in the country, consolidating his presence in Nicaraguan basketball.[[3]
The team identifies with the colors and values of UNAN, promoting not only sports, but also the comprehensive training of its players. Through its participation in tournaments and leagues, the team seeks to inspire the youth of León and contribute to the development of basketball in Nicaragua.
