The great story continues at the start of the season for Union Neuchâtel in the Swiss Basketball League. Mitar Trivunovic‘s players won 80-68 on Sunday at BBC Nyon and thus signed their third success in as many championship matches. Trailing by nine points after the first quarter, the visitors had pulled together at halftime (33-33). They then managed to make the difference, thanks in particular to greater offensive efficiency (61% on two-point attempts compared to 44% for Nyon).
Next match for the Unionists: this Tuesday in the round of 16 of the Swiss Cup. The Neuchâtelois will go to Bernex, to face a League B club (8:30 p.m.). And next Saturday in the championship, Union Neuchâtel will host the ogre Friborg Olympic. /vco
