Valencia CF-Real Madrid postponed

As expected after the devastating consequences of the storm as it passed through the Valencian Community, the sole Judge of professional Competitions and the sole Judge of non-professional Competitions of the RFEF have agreed this Thursday to postpone various matches that were to be held this weekend in the Valencian Community, seriously affected by DANA, which has caused fatalities and numerous material damages due to flooding.

In the case of professional football, and after receiving the request from LaLiga and the F League yesterday – at the request of several clubs involved -, the matches on matchday 12 of the First Division are postponed, by decision of the sole Judge of Professional Competitions. and matchday 13 of the Second Division that were to be played in the Valencian Community during this weekend. These are the Villarreal CF-Rayo Vallecano, Valencia CF-Real Madrid, CD Castellón-RC Ferrol, CD Eldense-SD Huesca and Levante UD-Málaga CF matches.

The matches of the women’s football categories are also postponed, accepting – with regard to professional competitions – the request for postponement of the Valencia Féminas-RC Deportivo and Real Madrid CF-Levante UD of the Women’s First Division (League F).

For his part, the sole Judge of Non-Professional Competitions has determined that various matches of the First Federation, First Iberdrola Federation, Second Federation, Second Women’s Federation and Third Federation be postponed, both in men’s and women’s competitions.

Likewise, the decision affects different futsal matches in various categories under the orbit of the RFEF, from the First Division to the Youth Honor Division.

These matches are added to those that were already postponed in the first round of the Copa del Rey and those corresponding to the CESA under-14 and under-16.

When could Valencia-Real Madrid be played?

The suspension of this match is a real headache in an already very tight schedule. With matches practically every three days for Ancelotti’s men and a national team break in November still pending, tEverything indicates that the match cannot be played until 2025. From there, the decision could depend on the trajectory of the two teams in the Copa del Rey but it would never be before February.
