After a turbulent week, this: Victor Boniface from Bundesliga soccer team Bayer Leverkusen had a serious traffic accident – but nothing worse happened.
Shocking moment for Victor Boniface: The Bayer Leverkusen offensive player was involved in a serious car accident shortly after the 2-1 Bundesliga home win against Eintracht Frankfurt, his club announced. The 23-year-old Nigerian international remained largely unscathed.
Victor Boniface was a passenger in the accident car
Boniface was on his way to Frankfurt Airport to pick up friends. Himself as a passenger. It was not known exactly when the accident occurred. The “Bild” newspaper first reported. According to the paper, the Mercedes in which the footballer was sitting collided with a truck. Boniface was slightly injured in the hand.
Boniface hasn’t had an easy week anyway. An odyssey with the Nigerian national team in Libya and the subsequent boycott of matches had a visible impact on the centre-forward’s performance. In the top duel with Eintracht Frankfurt he didn’t show his best performance and even missed a penalty in the ninth minute.
