Superstar LeBron James and his son Bronny played at the same time for the Los Angeles Lakers against the <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/nba-minnesota-timberwolves-the-call-of-the-forest/" title="NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves, the call of the forest”>Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, becoming the first father/son duo in NBA history to play together.
LeBron James (39 years old), for his 22nd season, and Bronny (20 years old), for his first in the North American professional league, made history during the second quarter, the evening of the NBA’s resumption for its 2024-2025 season. Bronny entered the floor for his first follow-up from his father, with four minutes remaining in the period while the Lakers had a 16-point lead.
The two players had already stepped on the floor together, on October 6 in Palm Springs (California), but for a pre-season match against Phoenix.

“Just the pre-season was a delight, the training, the daily life, taking the plane together, the bus, showing him the ropes. Explaining to him what a professional life is, and how to prepare every day , it was super-mega cool,” commented LeBron James at the start of the day.

The four-time NBA champion, gold medalist at the Paris Olympics this summer with Team USA, had set himself the goal of playing with his son. Bronny, chosen in 55th position in the draft by the Lakers in June, managed to come back and join the highest level after suffering a cardiac arrest in training in July 2023.
