Viktor Gyökeres is the goalscorer in the Champions League for the second time.

The Swede was responsible for a solo performance until 2-0 against Sturm Graz – and was named player of the match.

– I just tried to go straight for the goal, says Gyökeres in Viaplay’s broadcast.

On September 17, he struck with a goal in his Champions League debut against Lille.

After leaving the field goalless against PSV earlier in October, it was time again.

In the Swede’s third Champions League match of his career, he took the ball from a Sturm Graz defender.

The 26-year-old showed his composure as he feinted past the goalkeeper and rolled in the 2-0 goal in Austria.

– I tried to get a good angle to shoot. I felt that the best thing to do was to wait a bit and get the goalkeeper down and then set it, he says in Viaplay’s broadcast.

Played until 1–0

The striker also acted as a forward in the match. Although it may not have been deliberate from the 26-year-old.

The Swede got a great position until 1–0 but missed and only touched the ball.

It landed instead with Nuno Santos, who managed the situation.

The striker was then named player of the match by Uefa.

Sporting Lisbon won the match 2-0 and after Tuesday night is in third place in the new Champions League format.

It was also Swedish between Juventus and Stuttgart when left-back Jonas Rouhi was substituted in the 90th minute.

Two minutes later, Stuttgart decided with the only goal of the match from El Bilal Touré.

A less successful entry from the Swede.
