Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Two champions in Villefranche

This next weekend, Judo Villefranche perpetuates its tradition by welcoming champions. Margaux Pinot, 2024 world champion, and Alpha Djalo, selected for the Paris Olympic Games and Olympic team champion, will be on the tatamis of the Tricot gymnasium dojo. They will lead two days of training, Saturday for adolescents and adults and Sunday for the youngest.

A good introduction

This last weekend a competition reserved for colored belts took place in Toulouse. Three judokas from the Villefranche club were entered. “It was a great day for our team at this Toulouse grand prix”underlines the club’s teacher, Vincent Latière, who congratulates his protégés for their performance.

Marion Pradal won the bronze medal. With three fights won and two lost, she fought with determination.

At 40 years old, that’s a great performance. In just 3 years of judo, here she is in a competition in Toulouse, with an incredible desire to win. A magnificent example of perseverance. Martin Pradel was not classified but had a good competition. After a defeat in his first fight, Martin then went on to win a series of victories, inflicting ippons. He is on the right track. Nathanaël Juan-Troussier took part in his very first competition. At 18, with only two years of judo, there he was in Toulouse, facing the unknown, with lots of people, shouting and the pressure of what was at stake. He lost his two fights, but he learned a lot and will come back stronger.
