Paul Wanner is currently one of the shooting stars of the German Bundesliga.
Since the tug of war over the Dornbirn native between Austria and Germany is still in full swing and a decision is still not in sight (read here >>>), the 18-year-old could now also be facing an uncertain future in club football.
The talented offensive player is currently on loan from FC Bayern Munich to 1. FC Heidenheim. Wanner would return to the German record champions in the summer.
Leverkusen interested in Wanner
However, according to information from “Sky”, a sale cannot be ruled out afterwards. A lot in Munich depends on the personalities of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.
Wanner’s contract with Bayern is valid until 2027. Bayer 04 Leverkusen should definitely be an option for the offensive jewel. The rumor could get even hotter if Bayern actually go to Wirtz in the summer.
In Heidenheim, Wanner has so far scored seven goals in eleven competitive appearances. With such numbers there would be no shortage of interested parties anyway.
