Jameson Williams always dominates the headlines. Now the Detroit Lions wide receiver is apparently in trouble with the police.
After being banned for taking performance-enhancing substances, Jameson Williams is apparently in danger of trouble again – but this time not just with the NFL, but especially with the police. There’s a lot of noise at the Detroit Lions wide receiver WXYZ-TV an application for an arrest warrant for carrying a concealed weapon was examined.

The Detroit Police Department announced: “Anyone who commits a crime will be held accountable, regardless of their position or status.”
A statement from Williams’ attorney Todd Flood said the star receiver was not taken into custody even though he had a gun registered to him without a gun license during a routine traffic stop. Only his brother from Williams could supposedly have such a license.
Williams avoids arrest
The report states that the officers then handcuffed Williams. A supervisor and a sergeant then arrived at the scene. The latter apparently made a few calls, after which Williams was released.

“We discussed it with him and informed the league of our knowledge,” the Lions announced. The franchise will refrain from further comment out of respect for the investigation process. We are currently checking whether the arrest warrant was actually legal. The whole incident had already happened on October 8th.
Jameson Williams is considered one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. The Lions had taken the WT in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, even though he had recently torn his cruciate ligament.
Before his current ban for taking performance-enhancing substances, Amon-Ra St. Brown’s teammate had already been suspended four games in the past for violating the league’s gambling rules. Now he’s gotten himself into trouble again.
