Week 8 NFL Losers: Mike McDaniel Has No Excuses

With most of the NFL Week 8 games written down, it’s time to take a look at the biggest losers in the NFL this week.

Mike McDaniel (Miami Dolphins coach)

McDaniel gets plenty of headlines and love for his personality and great play design, but it’s hard to continue to ignore the consistent mediocrity coming out of the Dolphins under his watch. He’s been excused the past few weeks due to the quarterback situation. But on Sunday, Tua Tagovailoa returned to play at home against a 3-4 Arizona Cardinals team that traveled across the country for an early kickoff, but his team still lost 28-27. They are 2-5 and time is quickly running out in the AFC playoff race.

New York Jets front office

This isn’t just about losing to a bad New England Patriots team. This is about the entire process that allowed them to get to this point. Hitching the wagon to 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers and allowing him to run the organization, bringing in his friends and dictating what the team does, hasn’t worked. They are last in the AFC East at 2-6. Davante Adams might have forced a trade from Las Vegas and ended up with a worse team.

Rashod Bateman, wide receiver, Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens were shocked by the Cleveland Browns (29-24). Thanks to the solid game At Browns backup quarterback Jameis Winston. There is one play in the Ravens offense that begs the question, “What if?” It’s been a drop for wide receiver Rashod Bateman all week.
