What role would Latin America play if there were to be a global war?

In Reason of State with Dionisio Gutiérrez Stephanie Henaro, an internationalist in geopolitics, territory and security, spoke about the different conflicts that exist worldwide and the role that Latin America would play.

“This division that we are seeing at a global level, which is most evident with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, we also feel it on the continent because if we divide the continent between north and south, the United States is the dominant power at the top and at the bottom is China, it has more political and economic power than the United States. So we are not oblivious to what is happening in the world and because we are from the continent where “With the United States, we become strategic territories,” commented the expert.

Latin America is going where the rest of the world is going. The latest democratic index from The Economist says that 68% of the world’s population no longer lives in democracy and Latin America is no exception. We have to keep in mind that the balances of power are breaking down and obviously democracy has its discomfort along with globalization and that is why many people do not value it and think that it does not work because it has not improved people’s lives,” Henaro said.
