The purchase of a minority stake in an NFL franchise is spreading like a cold. On Tuesday, Tom Brady was approved as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, purchasing a 5 percent stake in the franchise.
But he is not the only former athlete interested in becoming a minority owner of an NFL team.
Sportico reported what a group that includes Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter and Jozy Altidore is interested in purchasing a minority stake in the Buffalo Bills. Terry and Kim Pegula are currently the owners of the NFL franchise, but this season they said they were open to offers for someone to become a minority owner.
Former NBA legends McGrady and Carter and former American soccer star Altidore appear to have answered the call. Talks are in a preliminary stage, but let’s take a look at the three former athletes interested in taking a stake in the Bills.

Terry Pegula bought the Bills in 2014. He and his wife Kim became the second owners of the franchise, purchasing it from team founder Ralph Wilson, who founded the team in 1959. The Pegulas purchased the franchise for $1.4 billion in 2014 and is now valued at $4.2 billion, according to Forbes.
