Wild in the IB class: Seven reds, insulting the referees, the arrival of the police!

Everything important happened from the 60th minute onwards, the wildness culminated in the 9-minute set-up by attacking both assistants after the home team equalized at 3-3 (see video of the full match). According to the guests, this happened after the car turned over.

The list of “red” offenses for the guests was described in detail by the head referee in the minutes of the match (see box). In three cases, it was a suspension during the match, three red cards were given in interrupted play (including the suspension of the coach). The reason was physical attacks and vulgarisms. The representative of FK Duchov filed a protest after the match, and subsequently entered the objections into the minutes of the match.

Record of the match TJ Sokol Údlice – FK Duchcov

“We, FK Duchcov, file a protest due to referee misconduct in the match Sokol Údlice : FK Duchcov, played on 13/10/2024. The match was managed from the beginning to the disadvantage of FK Duchcov, primarily by AR2 (assistant number 2) and HR (main referee),” the protest reads.

According to the Duchovskés, there were pointless turnovers, offsides and fouls. According to them, the referee did not award a red card after a rough foul on the player Fišer in the second half, they were not recognized for a regular goal after an invented offside by assistant number 1.

“The exclusions of Barnat and Holubička (second yellow card) were clearly contrived. The referees clearly did not manage the match and their arrogant behavior on the pitch contributed greatly to the whole incident and the subsequent finish. The whole situation is very unpleasant and we are fully aware that this behavior does not belong on the sports ground, and on behalf of FK Duchcov we apologize for the mentioned (confirmed) transgressions. Once again, we would like to emphasize that such an aggravated situation did not have to happen at all and we are sorry,” described the representative of FK Duchcov.

The view of the home side, for which Zdeněk Vaňkát, a former first-league assistant with a controversial reputation, started in the starting line-up, is diametrically different. “In our opinion, the referees managed the match very well. Unfortunately, after the break, for an incomprehensible reason, the guests started to comment on each of their verdicts with vulgarisms. Hats off that even in the eighth they were able to score three to two. But they couldn’t stand our equalizer in the setup and fell on the referee. Before the organizers reached them, our player tried to calm the situation down, but he received a header and a punch from the Duchovskés. Then the guests surrounded the referee and there were borderline insults,” the president of Sokol Údlice, Martin Lux, described the disgusting conclusion to Sport.cz, who caught the game in the home goal.

But it didn’t end with insults on the lawn. Once the referees were seated in their booth and the emotions seemed to have died down, one of the visiting players kicked in the door to their dressing room. The main organizer and the main referee then called the police. “We completely do not understand the arrival of the police after the match and the treatment of the two assistants at the hospital in Chomutov,” the guests noted in the minutes of the match.

“You know emotions flare up, it happens sometimes. It belongs to football. I understand when an individual short-circuits, but I don’t understand when seven people short-circuit. I had fun with the goalkeeper Duchcov after the game, who also didn’t understand the short-circuit of his teammates,” said Lux, according to whom this is not the first problem with the emotions of Duchcov’s team in recent seasons.

The match should be dealt with by the disciplinary commission this week, which, given the events in Údlice, has a lot of work to do.
