The general meeting concerning the 2023 season of the Haudricourt motorcycle club (Seine-Maritime) should have taken place in January 2024.
“We didn’t do it because of our difficulties » indicated Antoine Baussard. Finally, it was held on Saturday October 19 and focused on the difficulties mentioned a few minutes earlier by the president.
Let’s remember the facts: in September 2023, the club was forced to close the ground following a complaint about noise pollution.
After eight months of administrative closure and many works (change of the route to shorten the circuit, installation of an earth wall to block the noise), the ground was able to reopen in the spring, but only every other weekend.
4,000 euros grant
In this context, although the 2024 report is not on the agenda, the office still worried about the financial consequences.
The municipal council voted exceptional grant of €4,000 and the May 2024 race worked well.
But will this be enough to cover the expenses? The amount work costs around €15,000. “Our desire is to make two motocross bikes in 2025 to compensate for the costs” announced Antoine Baussard.
During January, the club will meet again in a general assembly to take stock of the 2024 season and present your projects.
