Yasmine Hamza feels the cruciate ligament rupture only on October 31, 2023 in the world rankings. But if he continues to play so well, he will soon be back in the top 100. On Tuesday at least he will be back in the top 200: thanks to his exceptional performance in Algeria. The top player of the SBS – Südtirol Badminton School from the capital Algiers reached the final without losing a set.

There she was an outsider against Loh Zhi Wei from Malaysia, who was the same age. Hamza was behind 16:18 and 18:19 in the first set and took the lead for only the second time in this set when the score was 1:20. “After narrowly losing a set in the final a week ago in Egypt, I really wanted to win that first set. “I tried to play offensively in this phase and I was rewarded,” Hamza said happily.
