Livorno 17 October 2024 – Youth Report Don Bosco Basketball Livorno, the week of the rossoblu “cantera”

Under 19 of Excellence, the 40′ of Pallacanestro Don Bosco Livorno

The Under 19s of Eccellenza Don Bosco started well in the long trip to Faenza, playing a good first quarter, which ended in perfect parity, at 19-19, and then suffered a bad run in the second quarter. Ten minutes in which the hosts printed a break of 28-6 which was worth the +22 of the long interval, effectively a guarantee on victory. In the second half the rossoblu, also thanks to the reduced energy due to the commitment in the Serie C championship with US, were no longer able to get back into the game and in the end the scoreboard read 81-56 for Faenza. As for individual scores, double figures for Marinari, at 11.

Under 17 d’Eccellenza, the trip to Florence of Pallacanestro Don Bosco Livorno

The march of the Under 17 d’Eccellenza of Pallacanestro Don Bosco stops on the parquet of the Florence Basketball Academy; Davide Cotza’s boys paid dearly for a terrible start, due to an approach which was, to say the least, revisable in comparison. The rossoblu suffer from the greater intensity and better concentration of the Florentines and at the end of the first quarter they are already 16 points behind. A margin that the Florentines increased at the start of the second period, even reaching +28; at that moment the game changes, with the Don Bosco reaction limiting the half-game delay to just 13 points. In the second half, Don Bosco gnaws away point after point and comes to play it at the end, only to lose by three points. In an evening that was certainly not positive, Marco Madera’s super performance is to be praised, with 35 points as top scorer of the entire match.

The trip to Florence, on the parquet of the Firenze Basket Academy, of the Under 15 d’Eccellenza Don Bosco ends with a defeat; Alex Blanco’s boys started well, even taking a slight lead, before the return of the home team who tightened their defense and doubled the rossoblu already in the first quarter, at 18-9. The refrain does not change as the match continues, and as the minutes pass, the home team’s advantage rises to the final 100-41. At Don Bosco, as far as individual performances are concerned, Mele’s 15 are worth mentioning, the only one of his team to score in double figures.
