US President-elect Donald Trump owns several prestigious golf courses and is known to have great golf skills.

While I have a deep love for golf and martial arts, I have a really bad relationship with basketball and American football.

Reporter Eunji Cho took a look at President-elect Trump and sports.

President-elect Trump and mixed martial arts and UFC are special.

The relationship began when Trump gave his hotel to the UFC, which was unable to find a venue for the event because it was too violent. Over the next 20 years, the Octagon gave strong support to the hot-tempered and macho Trump.

It was golfer DeChambeau, born in 1993, who was an athlete who was urgently called by President-elect Trump on this stage.

The two attracted attention during a charity round last summer, and President-elect Trump showed off his sensational skills by engraving the number 47, representing the 47th president, on his red hat, in line with the election slogan at the time, MAGA.

It also differentiated him from the older President Biden.

Playing rounds with celebrities is a part of his daily life, and he is also passionate about diplomacy, having had five golf meetings with former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

However, it is not a honeymoon relationship with all sports.

In particular, there have been several public wars of words with basketball and American football, where black players are the majority.

A representative example is the outrageous remarks made by NFL players when they boycotted the national anthem by kneeling, saying they could not show respect to a country with racial discrimination.
