The group stage match of the 2024 WTA Finals, which will decide the king of this year’s WTA, will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 4. The main matches of this tournament will be broadcast live on tvN SPORTS.

The second round robin of the WTA Finals Purple Group will be played on Monday at the King Saud University Indoor Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Elena Rybakina vs Jeong Chin-won

The first match is between Rivakina and Jeong Chin-won. Both players lost their first match and are in desperate need of a win to advance to the semifinals.

Kazakhstan’s Rybakina lost 6-7, 4-6 to Paolini in her first match since withdrawing from the US Open in August. However, there were also positive aspects, and it seems that he regained his sense of humor through this game.

Rybakina, 25, lost but had eight aces and 27 winners. If he improves his serve success rate, which is only 50%, he will likely be able to beat Jeong Chin-won.

China’s rising star Zheng Qinwen lost to Sabalenka 3-6, 4-6 in her first match. He had lost both of his previous two matches against Rybakina.

Chung Chin-won had a fantastic season, including winning an Olympic gold medal and advancing to his first Grand Slam final, but it appears that fatigue is building up due to the continued competition every week. There is a possibility of defeat this time too.

Arina Sabalenka vs Jasmine Paolini

The biggest concern in Saudi Arabia is who can stop Sabalenka from winning her first title. Considering the overwhelming victory against Jeong Chin-won, the answer appears to be ‘no’.

Sabalenka, 26, has won 21 of her last 22 games. He recorded amazing results by winning the Cincinnati Open, US Open, and Wuhan Open and advancing to the quarterfinals of the China Open.

Sabalenka is one of the strongest servers on the WTA tour. He ranks third with 295 aces, and will take on Paolini with that kind of power.

With the world No. 1 likely to win, it seems worthwhile to bet on Sabalenka winning with the total number of games played over 19.5.

The two players’ previous four games (2 wins, 2 losses) all involved more than 20 games, and many games are expected this time as well.
