On the third Sunday of Advent (December 15th), TuS Eschede invites you to a special running event – the 1st Knecht-Ruprecht Run. The communal run of 10 kilometers leads through the wintry surroundings around Eschede and is all about the pre-Christmas season.
A run for everyone – start according to running time groups
The event begins at 1 p.m. with the meeting in front of the historic mill in Eschede. In order to ensure a pleasant running experience for all participants, the start will be staggered according to running times:
- The 80 minute group starts at 1:10 p.m.
- The 70 minute group follows at 1:20 p.m.
- The 60-minute runners take to the track at 1:30 p.m.
- The finale is the 50-minute runners, which start at 1:40 p.m.
The aim is to strengthen the sense of community and reach the finish line as a group by 2:30 p.m. The route leads over paved paths and is subject to the road traffic regulations (StVO), which ensures that things run smoothly. Changing and shower facilities are available in the nearby Eschenhalle.
Culinary offerings from the Barneville-Carteret Friends’ Circle
All participants and spectators are also taken care of away from the running route. The Barneville-Carteret Friends Group offers a selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks for a small fee. These include hot French apple punch, children’s punch, cold drinks and bockwurst – ideal companions for the cold season.
Information and participation
The run is open to anyone interested, and no pre-registration is required. Just come along, run along and enjoy a good time. Further information can be found on Instagram at @knecht_ruprecht_lauf_eschede and on the TuS Eschede website at www.tus-eschede.com/badminton.
With the 1st Knecht-Ruprecht Run, TuS Eschede is creating an opportunity to combine sporting activity with community and pre-Christmas spirit – an invitation that no one should miss.
