4 courts and 16,500 seats for the central venue: Heading for Paris La Défense Arena

It’s the end of an era for the Rolex Paris Masters. The public continued to talk about the “Bercy” tournament, or “Paris Bercy”, but that will no longer be possible. Next year, after 39 editions at the Palais Omnisports renamed Accor Arena, the Parisian Masters 1000 will move to Paris La Défense Arena. “From October 25 to November 2, 2025, the largest indoor venue in Europe, which has state-of-the-art equipment, will host the 40th edition of the tournament.“, communicated this Tuesday the FFT.

If the details of the layout of the hall have still to be decided, it is certain that there will be four competition courts, including a central court with 16,500 seats, “a little more than today in Bercy“, revealed the tournament director, Cédric Pioline, on Sunday. This main court will therefore be accompanied by three other courts (compared to two today), plus a training court.

Growing without distorting, the double challenge

This move is part of the FFT’s desire to grow the Rolex Paris Masters and offer an ultra-modern setting to the tournament’s different populations (players, spectators, media, partners, etc.)explains the federation in its press release, with the ambition to continue to promote the Parisian Masters 1000. (…) The site will allow optimized management of spectator flows, particularly ticket holders for the evening session, thanks to a large covered reception hall, with catering areas and giant screens..”

You can imagine that 12 months before the 2025 edition, there are still many things to refine“, confided Cédric Pioline. But we now know the broad outlines of the project. The challenge is clear: to grow while retaining the soul of the tournament by moving from the east to the west of the capital. “This move should allow the tournament to enter a new dimension by offering players and spectators an ever greater experience. We also want to celebrate the legacy of the tournament and those who helped build its identity and history“, in the words of the director.
