5 Yankees trades Spencer Jones could be involved in in 2025

Spencer Jones’ status has changed, and so have the needs of the New York Yankees. Until recently, the 23-year-old outfielder was considered untouchable and now he is in the midst of trade rumors for MLB stars.

For some time now, the left-handed outfielder and hitter nicknamed “Baby Aaron Judge” has been linked as part of the return that Major League organizations hope to receive for top-level players.

Jones, who is in Double A and has not debuted in the majors, is the second best prospect in the Yankees organization and they could sacrifice him if it allows them to get a star to take them back to the World Series.

There are many Major League analysts who have said that Jones would be the ideal return for the St. Louis Cardinals if they go ahead with the plan to trade Nolan Arenado. The young outfielder is a 5-tool player and has good projection due to his power. That makes him a good acquisition for the San Luis roster renewal project and part of an adequate package for a player who has won 10 Gold Gloves, 6 Platinum and 5 Silver Bats.
