Nacer Chadli has been without a club for some time. However, the former Red Devil is not yet retired. Will he return to the Jupiler Pro League soon?
Birth Chadli (35 years old) saw his contract expire last summer at KVC Westerlo. He has not renewed and has not yet signed with another club. For the moment, he has no plans to stop.
“Am I retired? No, not yet,” he said in The Tribune. “Two weeks ago, I resumed training with the Standard hopefuls.”

“With what ambitions? For now, I just want to get back in shape. It’s been four months since I last did football training. I was working out in the gym but there’s nothing better than training. ground I would like to come back fit and then we will see.”
A return to Standard would be a great story. It was in fact at the Rouches that it all began for him. “For now, I just want to get back in shape. Afterwards, we’ll see. I’m from Liége, I lived there for six years. I spent 8 years in the Standard Academy. It’s something special.”
In all, Chadli played 48 games for Westerlo, scoring six times and providing four assists. He also has 66 caps and scored 6 goals with the Red Devils. His most memorable moment in the national team will undoubtedly be his goal scored in the World Cup against Japan.
