Did the Montreal Alouettes make a good decision by signing quarterback Davis Alexander to a three-year contract, while offering him the number one quarterback position?
Listen to Bruno Heppell’s response to Mario Langlois’ microphone.
“We talked about it at the end of the season. It’s clear that I wasn’t afraid to give my opinion on that. We had to move on to the new era. We had to think about the next ten years of the Montreal Alouettes. Then, a 26-year-old quarterback who has proven great things. That’s the decision to make. You couldn’t afford to lose him.”
And what will happen with Cody Fajardo?
“He’s going to become a free agent. We’ll let him look elsewhere, but there aren’t that many options left, especially with Vernon Adams who just signed with the Calgary Stampeders. When you look around the league, there isn’t really a number one quarterback option. Maybe in Edmonton there will be an opening…”
