The most emblematic sports venue in Neuquén will host the final stages of the Oscar “Loco” Ibáñez Youth Basketball Cup and the traditional Ruca Che Se Mueve aerobic march.
An invitation to enjoy sports and recreation is the proposal for this weekend at the Ruca Che stadium, with the final stages of a basketball tournament and with an important aerobic march for which some 2,500 people registered.
The activities are carried out by the Ministry of Human Development, Local Governments and Women, through Cultural and Sports Enterprises of the Neuquén State Society (ECyDENSE).
“This is an open-door stadium, in which we permanently involve the community in sports, recreational and family alternatives.“, he highlighted Federico Bolanvice president of ECyDENSE.
On Saturday the final stage of the Oscar “Loco” Ibañez Cup will take place, the youth basketball tournament that took place throughout this year at Ruca Che.
From 10 a.m. the crossings of the U13 and U15 categories are expected, which will define the most outstanding teams of the competition, while at 3:30 p.m. there will be the closing ceremony and the awards.
About 120 young people from Neuquén capital and Centenario participate in this activity.
Aerobic walking
In parallel, that same day the accreditations will be carried out for the aerobic march on Sunday, for which some 2,500 people registered.
The proposal occurs within the framework of the community activities that Ruca Che develops throughout the year, so students from all the sports activities that take place at the sports center, the community in general and athletes will participate.
The fifth edition of the non-competitive aerobic walk Ruca Che Se Mueve will start at 10 a.m. with a six-kilometer route through the west of the city, crossing Antártida, Godoy, Belgrano, Zeballos, Casilda, Concordia and Moritán streets.
For the first time, the route includes passing through the Espacio Duam Events and Convention Center, as the midpoint of the section that the participants will travel.
The team in charge of the proposal highlighted that the activity is intended for all types of audiences. “We expect complete families as well as prepared athletes, knowing that everyone has different objectives and expectations with this activity and that is what makes it even more interesting.“Bolan detailed.
There will be raffles and special prizes for “the coolest group” or “the largest family,” encouraging the recreational and non-competitive nature of the day.
Different areas of the Ministry of Human Development, Local Governments and Women will participate in the event, such as the Undersecretariats of Sports, Youth and Diversity. The Ministry of Health will also be present through a team from Heller Hospital that will measure blood pressure and glucose, and Kinesiology students from the University of Flores (UFLO) will do pre-warming and subsequent rehabilitation tasks with the participants.
