ABLC carries out a course in Baseball Operations in style – El Nuevo Diario (Dominican Republic)

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- With the participation of Manny Acta, Fernando Ravelo, Carlos José Lugo and José Gómez as facilitators, Advanced Baseball Learning Center (ABLC), carried out its Baseball Operations training, where 35 students received instruction in the operational processes of winter ball and its relationships with Major League Baseball (MLB).

The participants, who included former players, members of the press and professionals from various fields, came into contact with the Lidom free agency regulations and the various regulations governing the participation and permits of native and imported players.

ABLC is the pioneer company in training for the baseball industry, carrying out courses in areas such as player scouting and evaluation, analytics and sabermetrics and baseball technologies, providing preparation opportunities for job placement in the baseball industry, with more than 50 of its graduates currently working in different organizations in the Dominican Republic, the United States, Mexico and Venezuela.

The theoretical course, which had a final practice, was held at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo hotel, on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of this month of November. In it, participants had the freedom to learn more about how teams operate in the area of ​​baseball management and operations.

Each of the participants spoke and asked Acta, Ravelo, Lugo and Gómez about everything related to baseball, who openly gave anecdotes from their past as winter ball managers.

The ABLC announced that they will continue to carry out other courses, including virtual scouting for this year and by 2025 there are already four scheduled.
