Across the NFL: The Bills deprived of another key player on offense, return of Tee Higgins

The Buffalo Bills will be without another key offensive player against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Tight end Dalton Kincaid will be sidelined with a left knee injury he suffered last week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman also won’t be available.

This is the second game Kincaid will miss in his career, and his first this season. The second-year player is the most targeted by the quarterback on the team (59 times) and has the second most catches (34). He has caught two touchdown passes this season.

“It’s definitely an adjustment in some areas, but (offensive coordinator) Joe Brady is doing a great job in this situation with the rest of the staff,” head coach Sean McDermott said.

Without Kincaid, Dawson Know risks having more responsibilities.

Higgins ready to jump on the field

Tee Higgins will return to action after a three-week absence due to a quadriceps injury.

Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed after Friday’s practice that the Cincinnati Bengals receiver will be able to face the Chargers in Los Angeles.

“I’m really excited to have the guys back,” Higgins told ESPN. I hated sitting around watching the games, not being able to contribute and help get the win. »

Higgins’ participation was limited this week in practice. During part of Friday’s practice, he wore his uniform and a helmet, doing agility drills among other things.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson should also be in position despite being absent today. Whoever leads the NFL in sacks (11) will travel separately from the team for personal reasons.

Fashuna takes over for the Jets

Tyron Smith will give way to rookie Olu Fashanu in the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

The New York Jets left tackle, one of the most decorated linemen in the league, is dealing with a neck issue that could land him on the injured list.

First round pick (11e in total), Fashanu will make his NFL debut at this position to protect Aaron Rodgers’ blind spot.

Smith, who is 33, has been invited to the Pro Bowl eight times and was a two-time All-Pro with the Dallas Cowboys. He hadn’t missed a throw this season until last week, when he left the game with a neck injury whose severity is not yet known.

Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said he could end up on the injured list, which would cause him to miss at least four games.
