The installation of the Advisory Council of the Municipal Institute for Youth Development (IMJUVE) was carried out, a measure to strengthen policies and programs aimed at the well-being and development of youth.
During the session, the council ratified Jesús Abraham Espinoza Hernández as director of the agency, reaffirming his commitment to leadership in the implementation of initiatives that positively impact the young people of New Laredo.
Upon its ratification, the director of IMJUVE indicated that based on listening to the needs of youth, from public places to visiting them in work or study centers, various strategies were developed that benefited that sector during the previous administration.
“We responded to historical demands such as the topics of psychology, entrepreneurship, culture and more; all under the vision of being a close and open-door government that Mayor Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal has,” he noted.
He highlighted that in the presentation of activities corresponding to the last quarter, more than 7 thousand young people benefited through various programs, workshops and training related to computer skills, English, bazaars, among others.
