A physical attack on a media representative costs basketball star Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers dearly. The NBA professional league has suspended the 30-year-old for three games, Vice President Joe Dumars announced on Tuesday. The penalty also costs Embiid a lot of money.

“Mutual respect is paramount to the relationship between players and media in the NBA,” Dumars said. “While we understand that Joel was offended by the personal nature of the reporter’s original version of the column, interactions must be based on both Pages must remain professional and must never become physical.”

Incident after loss to Memphis
