Judoka from all regions of Italy competed in the Playhall location in Riccione. All categories of martial art were represented: very young, beginners, cadets, juniors, seniors and masters
MONTANARO – On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November, the 39th national Judo championship took place in Montanaro in Riccione. The initiative was organized by Csen, the national educational sports centre. In the Playhall location, judokas from all regions of Italy faced and challenged each other. All categories of martial art were represented: very young, beginners, cadets, juniors, seniors and masters. Cinzia Cavazzuti, former finalist at the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics and gold medalist at the 2002 European Championships, also took part in the event.
Canavese also shone on the tatami, thanks to Alessandro Gargiulo of Olympian Sport Asdps of Montanaro. The young and talented judoka climbed to the top step of the podium in the beginners category A (12 years). «We are satisfied with his performance. The successes of our competitive judo team continue – they comment from the association – Congratulations to him indeed. This year we participated in the Fijlkam national final of the Coni Trophy with the Piedmontese representative where our Beatrice Quattrone came third.
