The Patron of Chieti football Altair D’arcangelo comments on the statements of Deputy Mayor De Cesare and Councilor Pantalone regarding the future of Chieti basketball:
“In reference to the recently published article, I welcome with satisfaction the news that the vice mayor Paolo De Cesare and the sports councilor Manuel Pantalone are working to safeguard the future of Chieti Basket. Initially, I was involved to intervene in an emergency context to protect the team’s sporting title, noting the absence of the institutions at that stage. I am therefore pleased to note that they have now taken on this responsibility and are actively working to safeguard this important sporting reality in the city.
Faced with this new scenario, we are determined to concentrate our energy and efforts on Chieti Women’s Football, with the aim of bringing the team back to its natural home, the city it represents, and moving it from Lettomanoppello to Chieti. We will now allocate the commitment that we would have made to guarantee continuity and solidity to Chieti Basket to Women’s Football, so that it too finds a stable and adequate home in the Teatro sports community and can grow with the necessary support.
We are ready to collaborate with all the entities and institutions involved, continuing to build a united and cohesive sporting community, capable of looking to the future with ambition, trust and team spirit.”
