Amateur basketball: “Confidence comes from winning” assures Auch BC captain, Jordan Debrie, after his team’s great victory against Nantes

At the end of a great victory on Saturday evening against Nantes Basket Hermine II, 110-90, the Mathalin public was relieved and won over by the spectacle on offer. The ABC players, relieved and invigorated by this third success of the season, are enjoying it, but remain aware of the efforts that still need to be made. Auch is now ninth out of fourteen, tied with AS Niort (defeated at TOAC 98-63), where it goes on Saturday before receiving co-leader, Marmande. Post-match reactions.

Jordan Debrie, ABC captain: “We needed this victory, and it feels good! But we scare each other, we give them a lot of second chances, and it took us three quarters to really get going and win. Yes, we are skillful this evening, but we can’t count on that alone.”

“Facing a young team like Nantes, it was up to us to impose our rhythm but we made it difficult.”

“Confidence comes from winning, we will continue to work hard this week, there is a challenge to be made in Niort on Saturday, and we want to take it.”
