Work delayed by the pandemic and saving trees
The renovation of this sports area located at the corner of rue Delgrès and rue des Cendriers had fallen behind schedule due to the pandemic, but also due to difficulties encountered during their construction. The town hall of the 20e notably had to reject developments which involved cutting down trees, in accordance with the commitments of the municipal team.
A dojo, handball, basketball and badminton courts
Residents could already indulge in combat sports in the building delivered in February 2022. Since the summer of 2024, they can practice handball, basketball and badminton on two covered courts coated in a magnificent electric blue, and football and basketball on two outdoor 2s, the colors of which were chosen by residents during a vote at the end of 2021.
The apparatus installed on the square and designed for seniors also received their votes.
