Angers-PSG: the match interrupted by tennis ball throws on the lawn

The supporters of Lens inspired those of Angers. This Saturday evening, the match between Angers and Paris Saint-Germain was interrupted by tennis balls being thrown onto the pitch. Part of the public thus expressed their dissatisfaction from the start of the second period, while the Parisians were already leading 4-0.

The small yellow balls covered Gianluigi Donnarumma’s penalty area. The PSG players immediately began to send the balls out of bounds. But their efforts did not stop those in the stands from continuing. The referee of the match Benoît Millot was forced to interrupt the match for around six minutes.

If it was not shown on DAZN, a banner was also deployed by the Butte 92 kop, according to a tweet from a journalist from L’Aisne Nouvelle. “LFP Broadcasters, this is something to keep you busy for your next two-headed ideas,” wrote the supporters, targeting both the Professional Football League, DAZN and BeIN Sports.

Earlier this Saturday, the message was more or less the same at the Bollaert stadium. “Pressure on the clubs”, “collective sanction”, “scheduling of matches”, “increase in managers’ salaries”, “disciplinary committee”, could we read among the messages sent by Lensois supporters during their team’s match against Nantes. Targeted barbs to accompany a more global message: “Your management enrages the stands. Thank you LFP. »
