#3 Kido Higo Captain Over the past two years, we have finished runner-up and have been disappointed as we were not even close to winning. This year, as captain, I want to encourage the team so that everyone can demonstrate the results of their practice, while also scoring points myself and leading them to victory.
I will win this championship as a way of repaying my gratitude to Coach Irabu, the staff, and my parents, who have taught me not only various techniques but also humanity and other things other than basketball.
#2 Koo Matsuzawa In last year’s tournament, I finished in 2nd place, which was very frustrating. This year’s goal was to win again, and the entire team worked even harder than last year in practice. I have also been strengthening my physical strength so that I can continue to work hard on defense.
I hope to stand on the finals stage again and surpass last year’s results. I will try my best to compete in the match, so I appreciate your continued support.
#6 Miura Minato From the beginning of the season, we have been practicing as a team with the goal of winning this championship.
This year, we are a team with strong defense and a strong sense of unity. I want to actively communicate vocally and lead my teammates with my toughest defense than anyone else.
We worked hard every day to win. I’m sure there will be some tough matches, but we will give 120% and seriously aim for the championship.
#13 Shinnosuke Sugiura Ever since I became a third year student, I have experienced a series of changes. The training and activities were completely different from last year, and it was a half-year period of trial and error that we were not used to.
Despite this, I was able to encourage each other with my friends and overcome the tough training sessions.
We will focus on the team image we are currently aiming for, “attacking quickly from an aggressive defense,” and will do our best in the tournament!!
#14 Zen Ota Over the past three years, I have received support from many different people. This year, I will lead the Seahorse Mikawa U15 to victory in the championship, carrying the feelings of many people, including the senior Seahorses I have practiced with and my classmates on the same minibus! Thank you for your support!
#18 Eito Shimizu I was on the bench for the first time in the first-year championship, and I learned a lot from watching the great plays of my seniors up close.
In my third year, I practiced harder and there were times when it was tough, but I got through it by talking to my teammates.
I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with me through basketball. I will express that feeling through my plays, and I will fight each game with care, using my strong rebounding skills as a weapon.
I want to work together as a team, including my trusted coaches, trainers, classmates and juniors, and surpass my past results. We appreciate your warm support.
#32 Kosuke Watanabe I was really happy when I passed the tryout. But that’s when the real thing started. 90% of it was painful. I couldn’t express my feelings in words, but I persevered to win the championship.
I don’t have any thoughts of losing. I’ll do my best to express 90% of the painful feelings I’ve had so far. I’ll do whatever it takes to win. This is due to the trust we have in our colleagues who have worked with us for three years. I have no doubts.
#99 Sotaro Ukai The final championship is about to begin.
As a point guard, I want to control the game in a way that brings out the strengths and points of each teammate while reading the flow of the game. I want to include plays that lead to points by pushing the ball, which is my specialty.
Up until this point, I have been practicing every day with the goal of winning. I think there are many obstacles to overcome in order to achieve this goal. It could be the opposing team, or sometimes it could be your own mentality. I will do my best to overcome those walls one by one.
